About Me
Ceri Phipps-Hewlett Born in August 1984.
I was lucky enough to be brought up about horses from day one. My mother already had 6 horses when I was born. One being a Part bred Chestnut Mare Lady of the barns!. My mum never pushed me in to horses it was my choice if I wanted to take part in them. Of course I did want to paly horses. I was lucky to have a string of show jumpers and show ponies over the years, but i nevr had ready made ponies. My mother always told me, breaking you own ponies in and working with them will make you a better rider and she was right it made me stick thats for sure. Over the years I had some great ponies with BSJA JA ponies and Show ponies.
We always had part bred arabs and my mum bred a lot of part bred horses over the time as you can see from the horse pages. At the age of 15 we had been to the National Arab show a few times and I had watched the pure breds in hand and ridden and i knew what i wanted next a pure bred so i worked hard and on my 15th B day i got a lovely Arab Mare Taboo who i still have now and love!, she wasnt the easiest horse to break, with her bucking and tail going over your head and the front end coming up many times. But I didnt give up like many teens would I wanted to get her right and boy im glad i need as that horse has doen every thing for me over the 11 years i have had her. From BD dressage up to Medium, XC up to 3ft6 and showingjumping at 3ft6. Oh and course the showring.
I now have 3 pure bred horses on the yard two of them being owned by the lovely team at LMA arabians who have given me two lovely boys to work with in the showring. Tabo of course is still here and has produced us a lovely Toman Foal!. Our home bred Part bred mare with her foal at foot.
